Please note: This class is ONLY for people who already have a self-hosted (WordPress.org) WordPress website or blog and have some experience using it. We will not be taking time to answer very basic questions and we will not address other blog programs. If you need a beginner WordPress class, let me know, I'll be scheduling another one soon!

Please join us for a very special "Bring Your Own Laptop Workshop" about WordPress!  In this Intermediate session you will learn to take your existing WordPress blog or website and further customize, utilize and megnetize your online presence!

We will learn a combination of techniques to maximize your time spent marketing your business using WordPress for Business.

Whether you are brand new to self-hosted WordPress, or a veteran, or somewhere in between, your business will benefit from the information shared in this intermediate course. You'll learn:

  • My favorite plugins to add functionality to your site and how to find more that may be right for you
    
  • How to add widgets to make your sidebar attractive AND accomplish your business goals
  • Basic HTML for inserting your logo, headshot, product pictures and more to a text widget in the sidebar
    
  • How to use the Custom Editor to edit the colors, fonts, borders and more using CSS - without needing to know CSS!
  • How to attract your ideal clients to your WordPress site through
    
    • SEO
    • Linking
    • Social bookmarking
    • Social Media
    • Interacting on other sites
    • and more

Please come a few minutes early to get your laptop set up, connected to the restaurant's wi-fi, and order your breakfast. Please do order breakfast from Marvin's (it's delicious and affordable) as they generously allow us to use their meeting room for no additional fees.

You will receive approximately 60 minutes of instruction - laptops closed - and the 2nd hour will be spent putting into practice some of the techniques shared. You will receive a handout which you can use during the class or to continue your tasks on your own.

If you have any specific questions not covered in the class that pertain to your particular situation, theme, or program, I will be available for 30 minutes after class to address those as needed. If time runs out, consider booking a private coaching session with me at another time.

Class Fee:
$40 per person for 120 minutes of instruction and hands-on training, plus bonus Q/A time after as needed.
